Team Coordinator of Employment Services - South Norfolk Employment Services (Norfolk)

The Coordinator of Employment Supports oversees a community based employment program serving adults with developmental disabilities. The Coordinator of Employment Services supervises a team of Employment Facilitators and assists individuals to set goals and report on outcomes. This position is a Monday-Friday First shift position.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a program model consistent with the vision of community employmentSupport the development of valued community roles and personal relationships.Implement all procedures that ensure health, safety, and individual well being.Monitor and insure the implementation of all prescribed medical and medication protocols.Implement and monitor procedures that ensure physical safety and cleanliness of the program.Coordinate and secure necessary transportation resources; provide access as neededDevelop, review and complete all required documentation.Communicate all pertinent information to all stakeholders.Participate in supervision, team, and other related meetings.Provide overall leadership, direction, budget management and resource allocation.Interview, hire and facilitate the professional development of staff in accordance with agency policy and procedures.Develop long and short term program goals in accordance with the agency's ROM processAcquire and maintain all required certifications.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications
BA with one year supervisory experience in a vocational setting. Additional experience working in vocational programs with individuals with developmental disabilities may be substituted for education. Valid drivers license, a willingness to transport individuals served in community and a high school diploma/GED is required. Physical stamina required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
