Storekeeper IV - DOC - MCI Norfolk

Duties:Supervises the preparation and delivery of daily purchase requests to theinstitution; supervises the processing of state property supply order andrequests; responsible for receiving all maintenance UPS and stock items;oversees weekly inventory report to insure stock levels are maintained andstock purchased when inventory falls under the critical re-order pointdetermined by historical usage data; verifies all deliveries with purchaseorders to ensure receipt of what was actually ordered; checks items deliveredwith enclosed packing slip to verify delivery counts and conditions of delivereditems; ensures that CD16 Receiving Document is prepared and forwarded toBusiness Office within twenty four (24) hours of receipt of goods; notifiesdepartments that materials were received, and arranges delivery or pick-up ofall items received; responsible for inventory at the end of each month;provides supervision to subordinate staff and supervises inmate workers; otherduties as assigned.

The Massachusetts Department of Correction shall not hireanyone who may have direct contact with offenders, who has engaged in sexualabuse in a prison or other institution as defined in 42 U.S.C. 1997; or hasbeen convicted of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in thecommunity facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force or coercion,or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse, or hasbeen civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in the activitydescribed in the above paragraph.
The agency shall consider any incidents of sexualharassment in determining whether to hire anyone who may have contact withoffenders or residents.

Minimum Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must have (A) at least three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in storekeeping work in a storeroom, stockroom or warehouse, the major duties of which included receiving, storing and issuing supplies and equipment, and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
