General Job DescriptionThe Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the organization's operational activities.
They are responsible for analyzing various aspects of the supply chain, logistics, and procurement processes specifically tailored to serving military clients.
This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of military procurement regulations and protocols.
Key Responsibilities Supply Chain Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive analysis of the supply chain, identifying areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and potential risks.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to generate actionable insights and performance metrics.
Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), operational efficiency, and areas for improvement.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Cultivate strong relationships with food suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure the best possible terms for the organization while maintaining high- quality standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with internal teams such as procurement, finance, sales, and customer service to ensure alignment of operational activities with broader business objectives.
Participate in cross-functional meetings and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency gains.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the overall operational performance of the organization.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Previous experience in operations analysis, supply chain management, or logistics, preferably within the food industry or military procurement sector.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, or Tableau.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
