, a growing Heavy Civil Construction Company that promotes a team culture and takes care of their People as their first core value, is seeking an experienced Structural Steel/Miscellaneous Iron Estimator.
Candidate must be able to work independently, meet deadlines, multi-task, and assertively tackle the job.

Responsibilities:
Review specifications and drawings to accurately determine scope of work Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material and labor take-offs Determine the scope of work and define the contractual requirements for the project Solicit and coordinate supplier quotes for labor, material and equipment to meet project specifications Analyze and prepare estimates for extra work items Track awarded and non-awarded contracts Prepare complete estimates for projects ranging from small to large and complex in nature Prepare proposals for customers with professional and timely presentations Develop and maintain customer relationships to enhance company's ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency Requirements:
Highly organized, thorough and detail oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels Previous experience in estimating and erection of structural steel/miscellaneous iron or similar is preferred Knowledge and understanding of construction means, methods and materials Experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software is preferred Proficient with Excel Willing to consider recent college graduates in the above fields.
