We seek a self-starter with hands-on timecard review and payroll experience.
You should have good time management, organization, and reconciliation skills, attention to detail, a high degree of confidentiality, and a desire to learn.
Ideally, we seek recent experience with Paychex Flex, above-average Excel skills are required, and recent work with a small/mid-sized family owned business (70-100 employees) is a plus.
Payroll and timecard duties should be the primary function of your most recent job (more than 50% of your week.

Payroll functions:
Weekly review/adjustments of electronic timecards for 90
people in Paychex Flex for Wednesday payrolls.
Contact employees and managers for timecard discrepancies.
Review weekly 401k contributions Calculate Union monthly bonus and pension contribution Compile weekly attendance bonus for warehouses Monitor employee anniversary dates for PTO cash-out or rollover Enter info to Paychex for new or existing employees (pay rates, new addresses, tax withholding changes, direct deposits, etc.
) Enter payroll entries into accounting software Periodic reconciliation of benefit invoices compared to employee payroll deductions Monthly review foreign employees' payroll (simple comparison of previous to current month Excel spreadsheets, expense reports, and set up bank wire payments.
) UI responses if needed Pull payroll reports as needed (ie:
for Workers Comp annual audit, pension audits, year end PTO balances.
) Misc.
reporting and other responsibilities as required or assigned Benefit administration duties include:
Review monthly vendor benefit invoices and maintain enrollment detail on existing spreadsheets Data entry of health/dental/FSA enrollment forms, accident reports Data compilation from health insurance enrollments for ACA annual filing spreadsheet.
Misc.
reporting and filing as needed.
Other responsibilities as required or assigned.
Non-payroll/benefit duties:
Employee celebrations (monthly birthdays, summer bbq, holiday party, lunches, etc.
) Order office supplies and occasional light office duties Other responsibilities as required or assigned.
Candidate requirements are:
Preferred
Experience:
Bachelors Degree 3 years minimum payroll processing experience Excel - above average skills are required.
(ie:
conditional formatting, text-to-format, combining cell data, data grouping, set up multiple sorting functions for the data in a single spreadsheet, filtering, etc.
) Word, Outlook proficiency Paychex Flex Soft Skills:
